He attended the Cuyahoga County Vocational School during his junior and senior years in high school where he quickly learned the ins and outs of appliance repair. In 1986 Tony founded Total Appliance Service in a small space behind his father's barber shop and his father was often the source of his earliest customers. His father would come back to where Tony had a little desk and one telephone, and say, "I have a customer that needs his washing machine fixed."
