Cloverleaf Animal Hospital was founded in 1953 by Independence resident and veterinarian Dr. John Danis. After graduating from Ohio State University in 1980, Dr. Danis' son, Steven E. Danis, D.V.M., joined his father in practice, and became the new owner of the clinic upon his father's retirement in the late 1980s. We met with Dr. Danis and his associate, Fred J. Cloverleaf Animal Hospital is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art health and wellness care in addition to general surgical procedures for cats and dogs. We have access to a full compliment of laboratory and x-ray availability, and are equipped to handle most issues that today's pet owners face. Lydia Hajek, our Groomer, Head Technician, and Office/Supply Manager has been with us for over twenty years, and Andi Ludesher, our trainer, has been with us well over fifteen years offering behavior training for young puppies.

I pride myself on the longevity of my staff. Many staff members have been with me for over twenty years, and our clients really appreciate having highly trained veterinary professionals that have consistently earned their trust over the course of so many years. I have had two families who have each had several daughters work for me over the years, several of which have furthered their careers by enrolling in veterinary school.

Dr. Wright and myself were both born and raised in Independence, and thoroughly enjoy the local community. We have a good, established clientele consisting not only of Independence residents, but residents from Cleveland and the surrounding suburbs, as well.
