Harry Hatzis grew up in his family's restaurants and now enjoys a career that spans over twenty-five years in the hospitality industry. In 1997 Harry purchased the former Brown Derby building in Independence and transformed the property into Harry's Steakhouse and Banquet Center. We met with Harry recently, and listened as he told us where to find the best steaks in town;

Harry's Steakhouse is a casual dining restaurant featuring the finest flame-broiled steaks the Cleveland area has to offer. All of our steaks are certified fresh, hand cut by our butcher every day, and never, ever frozen. We offer a nice, clean, comfortable environment, affordable prices, some of the best customer service in town, and an open kitchen so you watch as your food is being prepared. In addition, our menu is also filled with a wide variety of poultry and seafood items guaranteed to tempt your palate.

We're located in the 20,000 square foot building that formerly housed the Brown Derby restaurant for many years. Our first floor dining room can accommodate 260 guests and the lounge provides seating for another 100. We have three banquet rooms on the second floor that seat 200, 80, and 60 guests respectively. These rooms offer the perfect location for wedding receptions, anniversary parties, rehearsal dinners, business meetings, fundraising events, and other special occasions. Our spacious facilities enable us to not only accommodate large groups, but many times we can welcome groups of 20-40 on short notice in our large dining room and they can order off the regular menu.

We always take reservations for gatherings in our banquet rooms and for parties of six or more in our main dining room. We also take reservations in our main dining room for major holidays such as Mother's Day, Easter, and Valentines Day, but otherwise we operate on a first come, first served basis.
