After graduating from law school in 1988, Richard A. Myers, Jr. practiced family law, criminal law, insurance defense work, and litigation for the first twelve years of his career. After becoming a father, Rick no longer looked forward to another day's litigation, but began to search for an avenue that would allow him to pro-actively help others on a day to day basis. His friend, Al Hehr, III was involved in an estate planning practice with his father Al Hehr, II. In 2000, Rick joined Messrs Hehr in founding Hehr & Myers Co., L.P.A., Attorneys and Counselors at Law to specialize in addressing the special needs of clients fifty-five years of age and older. We met with Rick recently, and listened as he described the services offered by Hehr & Myers Co., L.P.A.;

As a result of these changes, many tools and plans that had been used in Medicaid planning and asset preservation for the family no longer offer the same protection as they had in the past. Although we stay well informed of these new regulations, most are not yet widely known throughout the legal and financial professions.

My wife and I have been blessed with a twenty-one year marriage and have three children. Our daughter is eleven and plays the viola in the Baldwin Wallace Junior Orchestra, our eight year old son is a wonderful athlete, and we also have a two year old son. Al and his wife have an eight year old son who is very involved in scouting activities, and they provide a home for one of their nieces.
