W. Charles McLuckie, D.D.S., M.S. graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1988. After completing his Graduate Residency in Orthodontics and receiving his Master of Science in Oral Biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1993, Dr. McLuckie returned to Maryland where he had a very successful orthodontic practice for thirteen years.

Dr. McLuckie inherited a love for the Cleveland Browns and Indians from his father, and has been a Browns' season ticket holder since 1994. Many trips were made from Maryland to Cleveland to attend the games during which Dr. McLuckie and his family became very impressed with the local community. They decided to sell the practice in Maryland and move to Brecksville with their three children.

Dr. McLuckie founded McLuckie Orthodontics Inc. in May 2006 in Brecksville. We met with Dr. McLuckie recently, and listened as he provided this overview of McLuckie Orthodontics' services and offerings;

McLuckie Orthodontics Inc. specializes in all types of orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. We offer miniature-style metal braces, ceramic (clear) braces, gold braces, and Invisalign. We prefer doing initial consultations on children when they are around seven years of age. Even though most of them are not quite ready to begin treatment, we use these consultations to establish a base line from which we can consider future growth factors. Other children are ready for treatment when they are between seven and nine years old to make room for their soon-to-be-appearing permanent teeth. Not every child, of course, requires treatment at these ages, but it is helpful to perform an examination to identify areas that may be the source of potential difficulty in the future.
